Dr. Avani Ghodgaonkar

Dr. Avani Ghodgaonkar is a Senior Cataract Surgeon with 27 years of experience in ophthalmology. She has now joined Retina Speciality Hospital, Indore, bringing her expertise in advanced cataract surgery to our patients.

She holds an MBBS and a DOMS, and has worked at several hospitals, including Santram Hospital, Nadiad (Gujarat). She completed an Alcon Phaco Fellowship at Bombay City Eye Institute and Research Centre (2003–2004). She then worked as a consultant in Mumbai until 2010, where she was also a trainer in phacoemulsification and SICS (Small Incision Cataract Surgery). From 2010 she has been practising in Indore, and she now brings that experience to Retina Speciality Hospital.
